This post is from Erie, PA. Stopped here last night on the way to Chicago while delivering my friends' rad car. Very nice to wake up to green markets after going long late in the day Friday, but not so nice to see how crowded the roads are since the TSA began their creepy groping mission. Seems like people will do anything to avoid flying. Well, that's my take anyway.
Lots of road construction along Interstate 90. The flow was moving well, all things considered. I made good time.
Yesterday, I took route 9 through lower Vermont on the way to Albany, NY. It has to have some of the worst weather in the Northeast -- a near 100% record of precipitation the last 6 times I've driven it. Yesterday while cresting the peak of Molly Stark Trail was like driving through a wall of water. Extreme rain and traffic slowed to a crawl.
I'm waiting for the open to scale out of most of the SPY 117 calls from Friday. 1154.54, Friday's cash high, is the target. If things get really bullish, 1208.47 could be on tap. Whether this is a short covering bounce, or much more, it will be up to the market to say.
