Vermont Dispatch

Very early post from Stowe, Vermont today. Doing trail support for a friend of mine and his son who are hiking the Long Trail, the oldest long-distance hiking trail in America, 270 miles from the Massachusetts border to the Canadian border. Not for the faint of heart.

The wave pattern on the S&P has become increasingly ambiguous. I'm still leaning toward an Ending Diagonal at this point. This means there could be a small pull back into the 1690 area before a final thrust into August options expiration. Only a possible idea at this point, but buying VIX calls and OTM SPY puts anyway.
.

Testing a new camera and will have more photos soon, but here is one from a great find in South Royalton: Worthy Burger. Local grass-fed burgers grilled over a hardwood fire paired with craft beers from all over New England and beyond. Cash only. Amazing how well quality sells.

Oh and you should see the rig we took up here. 5.3 liters of V8 off-road goodness. Pics to come of that, too.

In other news, this US embassy closure is the latest case of mass conditioning by the government. Some of the headlines are just laughable.

PLANNED ATTACK 'BIG,' 'STRATEGICALLY SIGNIFICANT'
Authorities Boost Security Inside Homeland...
Senator: 'Most serious threat I've seen in a number of years'...
'Chatter' beyond anything heard since before 9/11...

The most serious threat in years and absolutely no details except "Be Fearful" and "Don't Travel."

It's no longer about Keep Out. It's about Stay here . . . Keep In.
