Coin Toss Friday

Asia, Europe, and the commodity complex are mixed this morning. S&P futures retraced 50% of yesterday's rally overnight. As far as I'm concerned, today is a coin toss.

As to where we end up, I have no idea. It being option expiration, there will most likely be a 3-part move of some sort (higher-lower-higher or lower-higher-lower) on a road to nowhere.

It's a beautiful morning. Unless I see some ideal set ups, I may just take the day off and finish packing. I'm heading off on another road trip tomorrow. And it's definitely not a road to nowhere.

This one is to Austin, Texas.

I've been to Texas, but never Austin. Along the way, I hope to also visit Kentucky and Arkansas for the time ever. Then I will have seen the entire lower 48 states. I've been very lucky to see so many.

Also, I really want to hit Memphis along the way. I love barbecue and have always wanted to check out some of the joints in Memphis, so look for some food blogging here too.

Also, I'll definitely be doing a guest post this time about trading on the road at The Minimalist Trader for @Chicagosean. I really dropped the ball on the Breckenridge trip because I didn't factor in what it would be like to blog while hanging out with good friends and skiing. I couldn't focus! . . . or maybe it was the altitude, although I traded very well out there. I STILL can't get Vail out of my mind -- no complaints either.

So, back to the market. I'd love to see the ES around 1316-1320 for a short, or around 1300 for a long. If it happens, great. If not, that's great too. And I'll be all packed to boot.
